Registration for the 19th Annual Health Education Advocacy Summit Opening Soon

Thank you for your interest in the 2017 Health Education Advocacy Summit, October 21-23, 2017.

This year’s Summit will focus on 4 Priority Areas

  • Supporting the Reducing Disparities Using Care Models and Education Act of 2015
  • Legislation authorizing the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) to test a payment and service delivery model including health education
  • $50 million in funding in FY 2017 to strengthen and expand the CDC Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH) program
  • $23 million in funding in FY 2017 for the CDC National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s School Health Branch to expand health education in schools

Registration Policies

Registration fees include training materials and admission to all educational sessions. Continuing education credits for entry-level and master-level Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES/MCHES) are available.

Cancellations: Refund Requests must be received in writing. All cancellations will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for any reason after September 21, 2017.

Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed at any time provided that they are of the same category and submitted in writing to the national SOPHE office.

CHES Exam Registration

Register to sit for the CHES Exam during the Advocacy Summit through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.  All questions regarding the CHES Exam should be directed to NCHEC. The CHES Exam will be held the morning of October 21, 2017.
