Registration for the 17th Annual Health Education Advocacy Summit Now Open!

Thank you for choosing to register for the 17th Annual Health Education Advocacy Summit, which will take place February 22-24, 2014.

This year’s Summit will focus on strategies to advocate for our profession so that we can reach our desired outcomes in the current political climate.

While we have accomplished huge victories in sustaining the Affordable Care Act (ACA), but we still have our work cut out for us. Current sequestration proposals could target prevention provisions in the ACA and cut public health education programs, resulting in job loss and hampering our school and community health education programs. This year’s Summit will feature a session that identifies the health educator’s role in implementing the ACA.

Let’s rally our collective voices to educate legislators and the administration on the value of continued investments in prevention – for improving lives, reducing health care costs, and contributing to a sound economy.  Stand with us at the Health Education Advocacy Summit and be a part of the solution!

Registration Policies

Registration fees include training materials, lunch on Sunday, February 23rd, and admission to all educational sessions. Continuing education credits for entry-level and master-level Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES/MCHES) are available for an additional fee, payable onsite.

Cancellations: Refund Requests must be received in writing. All cancellations will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for any reason after February 12, 2014.

Substitutions: Substitutions are allowed at any time provided that they are of the same category and submitted in writing to the national SOPHE office.
