Hello, I am interested in entering the field of health advocacy and serve as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). My volunteer efforts also include organizing health screenings and health ministries at religious organizations. I have a B. A. Communication and am pursuing a Master of Science in Health Service Administration. I need some advise on how one enters the field, finds employment and what type of educational background or courses should I take. Also, are there any publications, magazines, etc I can subscribe to? I reside in the state of Illinois. Sarah Lawrence College offers a Health Advocacy degree but only in New York and no classes are offered on-line. Thank-you
